Out To Loot

Some friends and I participated in the Tampa Bay Scrapbook Treasure Hunt and one of the contests was a "Cover Your Cover" contest - this is my design. I think it turned out pretty good. The winner for this contest wins by the number of votes her particular cover gets from those viewers of the website where these submissions are posted. Go there, ladies and gents, and VOTE for ME...I think mine is the best, but then, I would. You can see that the pirates have left the ship and are out to lunch...oops...out to loot....BWAHAHAHA...it is done completely with the Silhouette and inks. Lots of good prizes this year...will let you know what I win.

Easter Time is here!

The new Stampin Up! Occasions Mini Catalog will be available on April 1 and you are going to love it. There is a bunch of new items in this catalog, INCLUDING an oval 'scalloped' punch and coordinating stamps. I have been hoping to see the oval, so I am VERY happy. (LOL...it does not take much more than a new punch or a new in-color to make me happy!) Best news of all...it includes a few Easter and all occasion stamp sets. In view of the fact that Easter '09 is on April 12 this year, Stampin Up! is accepting the Easter stamp set orders earlier - starting on March 1 so we have time to make our Easter cards. I will be putting in an order that morning, SUNDAY MARCH 1, 2009, so please, email me what you want for your Easter cards from this Occasions Mini Catalog, and you'll have them in time for your Easter Card creations. If you are interested in getting any of these sets 'ASAP' let me know before Sunday, March 1st. They will be available during the entire month of March, & then while the Occasions Mini catalog runs - from April - March 30.

Everyday Joys!

I have been thinking about this for quite sometime, and have finally decided to make the commitment. Everyday there is something that I see that evokes an emotion and I want to capture these fleeting moments and put them in an album. Along the way, I want to share the pictures with you. I hope you enjoy these, and please, feel free to comment on them. It's a little warm-n-fuzzie when I know someone else has enjoyed my work. Um...no comments on the number of fur baby pictures...I DO have seven of the little darlings, and everyday, without fail, one of them has an "Oh isn't that cute" moment or two!! Enjoy!

24

And here I thought it would be Janice Gold who would be the spy...did you see the "Lady Geeks" exchanging looks tonight? I absolutely love this show, and am in a state of denial while it's off. The writer's strike almost killed me. It's a Tivo staple in our house. We had a marathon 24 a few years back to catch us up from the "first century" and when it was all over, it left me wanting more. I assume that is the object of the game. Now I have to wait until next Monday to see if the First Man dies or not. :( sigh.

Alaska...Here I Come!!

Yep..it's O-F-F-C-I-A-L...I am on the Scrapbooking Cruise to Alaska. Another one of my "things-I-have-to-do-when-I-turn-50" is now a realization. Good thing I did not chronologically list by date everything I want to do and in what order I wanted to do them, because if I had, I would be WAY off on this one. And, it's even over my birthday. How 'bout that. YIPPEE...Oh My Crafts is sponsoring it and I even have a cabin mate...Carole...check out her blog...it's on my list of blogs to the left, too...nice camera, Carole...updates on the cruise as I know them...

So, it's a New Year

And, so it begins. A new year. Already changes are begining to happen. Stampin Up! is on the rise and I am going to devote all my spare time to building my business. I had a fabulous Cards and Conversation with Liz at Jotos last Tuesday - This is one of the cards we made using the "Something New To Love" stamp set. I think it's so cute, and I love the set. Thanks to all of you! Met some new ladies, booked some parties and we're off to an amazing 2009. Can't wait to see how things go. I am always surprised at what the next step in my life is. Thanks for sharing!

Me Too!

Every morning Bill gets ready for work with all the normal things that we all do...except for one thing. With his daily splash of Obsession, our gentle-giant fur-baby Willie T has to have his splash as well. Just as if he was “dude-ing” himself up for a night on the town, Willie stands between Bill's legs waiting for him to pet him with Obsession hands. Never mind that it just gets licked off, it's been a daily ritual for as long as I can remember. And if Bill isn't fast enough, Willie'll let him know. That's it. Willie's off to the cat condo for his morning bird watching. All “dude-ed “up. None of the other fur-babies pay any attention, but that doesn’t bother him!!

Hobby dei ricordi (Hobby of Memories)

Deborah and Stephanie - two of the sweetest ladies in all the world. Deborah owns the scrapbook shop called Hobby dei ricordi in Rome, Italy, and her sister, Stephanie, works with her - on occassion (she has a full time job in Rome)...Bill and I arrived at the shop and were treated like royalty. I love the shop, love the ladies, love showing them some of my ideas and techniques, but most of all - I loved the sharing. Deborah's mother, Wilma, is the sweetest. Her husband, Fabrizio is sweet, too!! Can't wait to go back...tbc

I LOVE Italy...Can't wait to go back.

What a fabulous time Bill and I had in Italy. A car and a suitcase from city to city is THE way to go. Highlights of this trip - it's our second trip to Italy...teaching in a real Italian Scrapbook Shop with some of the most wonderful ladies ever...climbing Mt. Vesuvius 'til I thought I would die...finally seeing The Leaning Tower of Pisa and knowing that Bill climbed to the top...The video promises to be very exciting...being a part of the Audiance with The Pope...what a thrill that was...standing up close and "in person" to the REAL Statue of The David - how awsome was that you ask??? The awsom-ist!! Seeing the actual fresco of The Last Supper - how sad it is fading...how beautiful it is...driving 100 miles an hour on the Autostrada (NOT a highlight of mine, but Bill sure had fun!!)...the food...oh, the food...can not be described. It has to be experienced!! And we did our share of experiencing the food, too! The countryside, the smells, the people, the thrill of it all...tbc...
