Actors From The Past Card Front Swap

Joined this swap a bit ago from the Paper Craft Magazine website. I have always liked this website, and have a subscription to the magazine. I designed this card using a rather attractive photo (early) of Mae West, and really like how the blue hues are highlighted on her face. I used PSP for the hues and the image edge. Torn printed vellum makes a nice accent for the black "jewels"...let me know what you think.

Western Theme Card Swap

Today I received the cards from the Western Theme Card Swappers!! YIPPEE...Click here to take a peek Created this card last week (before the BIG YUCKIES got me) for a Western Theme Card Swap. The one I submitted used Paint Shop Pro Photo X2 to vary the opacity of the two images I used. One being a photograph of my father with one of our horses, taken in 1983 in Elmira, NY and the other was a scanned image of a western card I had purchased in Colorado Springs during my visit there in 2003. Layering the two images created just the look I was going for. Hopefully, the participants in the swap will forgive me for being ill and late with the mailing of the cards.

Photo Card Swap Photos!

I am so thrilled to have the opportunity to share with you these photos. I have been feverishly (not while I was with fever this past week) teaching myself Paint Shop Pro X2 to the level that I expect to be. If you are not familiar with this software, it is a photographic software. It even includes a built-in Learning Center to help new users get started right away! Don'tcha just love the thought of no one telling you what to do and how to do it? I do. But sometimes, it is easier to just have someone to turn to and ask, how do you do something or other. Not in this case. No one I know ANYWHERE knows PSP...now, I do, and I am happy happy happy. Comments Please. This is a photo of our furbaby, Lil Cesare. I will use these for altered photos for a Photo Card Swap I am a part of. Almost ready to go out the door, just had to post these photos!! Yeah to Me!! You can see the slide show of the cards to the right ---------->
